In addition to my writing pursuits, I am a freelance editor, a career that I enjoy greatly. Helping other people to sound (or read, rather) their best is very rewarding.
I have experience in editing dissertations, theses, essays, and nonfiction books. I would love to edit fiction as well; I just haven’t had the opportunity to as yet outside of my writing group.
If you are in need of editing assistance, please consider contacting me. My pricing is by page, which is double-spaced with one-inch margins and in a standard twelve-point font. This correlates to 250–350 words per page.

| Proofreading: This includes correcting grammar, punctuation, capitalization, typography and consistency errors. Formatting for footnotes, lists, charts, tables and bibliographies will also be standardized per the preferred style manual. | $2.00 |
| Copy Editing: In addition to proofreading, this includes pointing out and suggesting replacements for awkward and wordy sentence structures and word choices. Repetition, inconsistencies of tone, and extraneous passages will be pointed out. Also, copy editing notes any factual questions and sections that the intended audience may not understand. | $2.75 |
| Heavy Editing: Rewrites will be provided for any problem passages and an overall critique of the work will be given. This is especially helpful for authors that want feedback more than simple mechanical corrections. | $3.50 |
I also offer an hourly rate of $22 if you have work that doesn’t easily price per page, like regular blog posts, newspaper articles, and website copy. Contact me to discuss whatever editing projects that come up!
