The Wake Zone Espresso (Cary)—Coffee House Review
The Wake Zone Espresso
6108 Old Jenks Road, Cary
Website
Cup of Joe: $1.60-$1.95
Espresso Drinks: $1.60-$4.15

The Wake Zone Espresso is a very personable coffee house decorated in the style of a beach house. There are soft orange and baby blue walls, couches that look comfy, and large, triangular tables with lots of room for you to spread out your stuff.

There is also an army of palm tree lamps about, and I swear they were hoping to take me out by the number of times they attacked my unsuspecting head. The front room is covered in quote printouts and has a fake window design with corrugated waves. Look up to see the row of hats, also.

Plus, free Wi-Fi is always nice.
The Wake Zone Espresso offers a small selection of baked goods in addition to their coffee drinks. I had an island latte special of steamed milk, espresso, and irish cream and coconut syrups.

It was great, and I don’t say that lightly. Lattes often fail to impress me. This one had a nice level of froth, and while I wouldn’t have thought to combine those flavors, they worked together well.
This is a definitely a coffee house I’ll return to when I’m looking for somewhere to chill at or work at for an afternoon in Cary.
